I feel really happy this morning. I've had the best three weeks ever in my life. My kids just amaze me. I know everyone feels this way about their kids and boy are they lucky. It's so awesome. I mean I yelled at them a handful of times. Yesterday after the kids spilled guacamole on top of a bunch of pistachio shells into the space for the seat belt (Reid had fallen asleep and accidentally pushed it off of the center counsole). Both kids started freaking out. I was driving. I'm trying to settle them down knowing full well I'd be the one cleaning it up. They kept blaming each other for some reason and so I was finally like, "okay guys, are you kidding me?! Shut up! Jeez." (add valley girl shut up voice where the voice goes higher on the second word.....Shut uuuhhhhhhhhpp. Jeeeeeeeezzz.) . When we got home and I started scraping all that guacamole/pistachio/crumbled blue chips off of the white/grey cloth car seat (I was gagging) and had to go in for some wash clothes and cleaning spray. Reid was inside feeling sorry for himself. Lili on the couch covered in blankets watching music videos. I headed back out after I got more cleaning supplies and Reid says "Hey mom, can I help you clean up?". Oh my gosh. Music to my ears! I just gave him a big hug and told him how proud of him I was for asking me if I needed help. My heart is full. (Also Lili will be upset that I didn't make her the main character in this story so I'm including an extra picture of her... my Little Bear).
Oh and we got lost down some crazy road yesterday trying to get to that Tara Mandala in Pagosa Springs. Turned around at a locked gate and had passed some trailers with large fences and signs that said "TRESPASS AND WE WILL SHOOT YOU". Then went down another one... locked gate. Then we gave up and went to the hot springs in downtown Pagosa Springs and had an awesome afternoon.
